Dr. Ivan Ho

For more than 19 years, Dr. Ho has been practicing dentistry in Laguna Hills, California. In 2001, he expanded his dental expertise by opening Platinum Dental in Rancho Santa Margarita. Dr. Ho has been a pioneer in improving the present state of dentistry, primarily by using the most sophisticated, patient-friendly ways of delivering advanced dental care.

Dr. Ho is the chairman for the Orange County Dental Society Emergency Care Panel and serves on the Peer Review Committee. He has achieved diplomate status from the International Congress of Oral Implantology, graduated from the world renowned MISCH Implant Institution, and received mastership training in Cosmetic Dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies. Dr. Ho has lectured in the United States as well as internationally in both Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry for the Orange County Professional Education Society, Orange County Implant Training Center, Innova Implant Corporation, and BioHorizons Implant Systems.

Dr. Ho has appeared on local and national television programs. He was recently featured in two community papers of The Orange County Register, the Saddleback Valley News and Rancho Santa Margarita News. He has also taught at the University of Southern California on clinical dentistry and laboratory procedures.

In his free time, Dr. Ho enjoys surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, flying planes and skateboarding. He also frequently volunteers his time and expertise at the Children’s Dental Center in Los Angeles as well as “Give Back A Smile” under the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He treats battered women and women suffering from domestic abuse and violence by restoring their teeth and dignity. He continues to pursue his quest for further knowledge in dentistry by attending 100-300 hrs annually in continuing education.

Dr. Jimmy Tran

Dr. Jimmy Tran grew up in Southern California where he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Riverside. After college, he stayed in the area to earn his dental degree at Loma Linda University.

Dr. Tran enjoys working with his hands and takes pride in patient interaction by spending the time to make everyone feel at home in his office. He understands that each patient is unique and makes sure to get to know them on a personal level. He is able to put this philosophy into action while volunteering his time helping local communities in Mexico and Los Angeles County. Dr. Tran offers comprehensive dental care to families, but he also brings diverse specialties to the practice including Invisalign, dental surgery and dental implants.

Dr. Train loves staying active and playing basketball as much as possible. He also enjoys the outdoors, especially bike riding (motorcycles and bicycles) and fishing. Since he enjoys working with his hands, it makes sense that he is a handyman at home and does all his own repairs. He also spends his time tinkering with computers and other electronics.

Dr. Ninaz Shiva

Dr. Shiva, originally from San Diego, CA, completed her undergraduate degree with honors at the University of California and received her DMD from the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After practicing for a number of years in the Boston area, she decided to move back to California to be closer to family.

Dr. Shiva is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Committed to providing the best care possible for her patients, Dr. Shiva completes over forty hours of continuing education per year and is an Invisalign certified provider.

In her spare time, Dr. Shiva loves spending quality time with her husband and dog. She loves the outdoors, hiking, skiing and camping. On the occasional lazy Sunday, she also loves binge-watching the latest Netflix hit series.
