Dr. Shaun Soliman
Dr. Shaun Soliman, DDS, DMD, is a board-certified Doctor of Dental Surgery. He
attended UC Irvine graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology. He then earned his DMD from the University of Debrecen in Hungary, graduating Cum Laude. Following his training in Hungary, he returned home to beautiful Southern California where he earned his prestigious seat in the International Dentist Program at Loma Linda University.
Born and raised in Torrance, California, Dr. Soliman is honored to serve the patients of the South Bay. His expertise includes advancement cosmetic dentistry, implant placement, complex extractions, and all facets of general dentistry. Dr. Soliman is recognized for his holistic approach to oral healthcare, personalized to fit each unique patient’s needs. Incorporating the latest technology in digital dentistry with his superb training, Dr. Soliman provides unparalleled dental care with a gentle and caring touch. In his free time, he enjoys body building, fine dining, hiking, spending quality time with family and friends, and traveling with his wife and dog, Charlie.
Dr. Steven J. Sutherland
Dr. Sutherland was raised in the South Bay. He graduated from El Segundo High School in 1988. He later went to undergraduate school at the University of California at San Diego. During his time at UCSD, Dr. Sutherland played on the Triton baseball team. While at college, Dr. Sutherland was an Economics major when one of his teammates headed off to dental school, sparking his interest in dentistry. Dr. Sutherland pursued dentistry shortly after and gained his dental degree at the University of the Pacific in 1996. That same year, he started working at Digital Smiles – Torrance.
Dr. Sutherland feels that an important part of being a dentist is keeping up with all of the latest research and techniques. As a result, he spends over 100 hours a year on continuing education. He also spends part of his professional time teaching others. Dr. Sutherland has now served as a dental consultant for over ten years, committed to raising the level of care in the dentistry profession.
Dr. Sutherland understands that dentists are widely perceived as working with archaic equipment and long needles, all of which adds up to pain in your mouth and wallet. Dr. Sutherland is confident in the technology that is offered at Digital Smiles – Torrance, where they serve their patients with a stunning range of high-tech, cutting-edge technologies that minimize the pain and invasiveness of the past. Dr. Sutherland’s procedures on one-visit restorations are even featured on ABC’s “American Healthguard” and “The Wellness Hour.”
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sutherland’s focuses on his four boys: Cooper, Colby, Riley and Jax. He enjoys sharing his love of sports with the boys. Baseball and football take up much of their time, but they also love to get away to the river and the snow, carving it up when they can.

Dr. Ninaz Shiva
Dr. Shiva, originally from San Diego, CA, completed her undergraduate degree with honors at the University of California and received her DMD from the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After practicing for a number of years in the Boston area, she decided to move back to California to be closer to family.
Dr. Shiva is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Committed to providing the best care possible for her patients, Dr. Shiva completes over forty hours of continuing education per year and is an Invisalign certified provider.
In her spare time, Dr. Shiva loves spending quality time with her husband and dog. She loves the outdoors, hiking, skiing and camping. On the occasional lazy Sunday, she also loves binge-watching the latest Netflix hit series.

Dr. Justin Bacolor
Long Beach
r. Justin Bacolor was born and raised in San Diego. After completing his undergraduate studies at San Diego State University, he attended University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree. Following graduation, he completed an Advanced Education of General Dentistry residency at an NYU affiliated clinic in the bay area and practiced in San Jose for a couple of years. Missing the weather and proximity to family and friends, Dr. Bacolor moved back down to southern California.
Dentistry excites Dr. Bacolor because it’s an ever changing profession. He attends continuing education courses as a member of the California Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. The modern technology and improvements to dental materials allow them to provide more efficient care that is minimally invasive and maximizes conservation of natural teeth. This allows him to get to know his patients more and deliver higher quality patient centric care.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Bacolor can be found working out, going to a concert, or playing with his dog.
Dr. Ahn
Lawndale
Dr. Alice Ahn received her doctorate of dental surgery from the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC where she quickly developed a strong interest in dental materials and restorative dental technique. She had the privilege of studying directly under renowned dental researcher and clinical instructor, Pascal Magne. She joined his Biomimetic Study Club where she enjoyed presenting and scrutinizing clinical research.
She adheres to a “Biomimetic” approach to dentistry and is therefore committed to delivering minimally invasive treatments that ultimately focus on the conservation of natural tooth structure, prevention of root canals and extractions whenever possible, as well as on the restoration of existing teeth with materials similar in property to natural tooth structure.
Dr. Alice Ahn makes patient comfort her number one priority. She is quick to learn and adapt to each patient’s individual needs. Patients often comment on her caring demeanor and gentle chairside manner.
On the weekends, she regularly attends continuing education workshops and seminars with her father, Dr. Jong Gill Ahn, where they enjoy learning about and practicing the most cutting-edge of technological and clinical advancements in dentistry.
