If you are experiencing a toothache, you can try a few things to ease the pain while you are waiting to get into our office. Carefully flossing around the tooth that is hurting may dislodge any food that is stuck in-between your teeth, which could be what is causing the pain. Also rinsing your mouth with warm salt water can help with any infection. Taking Ibuprofen or applying a cold compress to the outside of the mouth can also treat swelling if needed. If your toothache lightens up before your visit, we recommend keeping your appointment to find out the cause of the pain. A toothache can return if left untreated.
A Broken Tooth
If you have a broken or lost tooth, getting into a dental office as fast as possible is important. The quicker you can be seen, the better chance we will have of saving your tooth. By calling our office, we can answer any questions you have regarding your dental emergency.
When you visit our office, your dentist will examine the area of pain and diagnose the problem. Our top priority is to treat the pain first. Once you are comfortable, your dentist can discuss the best possible treatment for your tooth.
